What to expect

A true temple dedicated to art and culture in the heart of Paris, Opera Garnier impresses by its dimensions but also by its baroque style all in gilding, colonnades and exuberant volutes. Architectural enthusiasts will enjoy walking down the large marble staircase of the building, before entering an imposing auditorium with over 2,000 seats and admiring superb ceilings painted by Marc Chagall himself. Those who are passionate about occultism will be thrilled in search of the mythical phantom of the Opera, which has caused so much ink to flow and inspired the famous novel by Gaston Leroux. The underground lake under the building has probably not yet revealed all its secrets...
