What to expect

From September 2018 to January 2019, the Musée d'Orsay hosts a major exhibition featuring hundreds of paintings, drawings, and sketches created by Pablo Picasso from 1900 to 1906. Originally from Spain but having settled in Paris as early as 1901, the young painter is captivated by the nightlife of the capital, the streets of Montmartre, the dancers of the Moulin Rouge, as well as the plight of the working classes. While a deep melancholy dominates the works of the Blue Period, those of the Rose Period, from 1904 to 1906, reflect a regained joy for life and place great emphasis on the female nude. This is the first time that these two periods of the artist are highlighted by a French museum. For this occasion, the Musée d'Orsay has obtained exceptional loans of works, notably from American museums. You can now book your ticket in advance on Ticketeaser.com to admire this highly anticipated exhibition.
