A Historic Venue Reimagined

Bassins des Lumières: A Spectacular Artistic Immersion

Located in the Bacalan district, Bordeaux's former submarine base is a historical relic from World War II, built by the Germans during the occupation. Transformed by Culturespaces, this massive structure now houses the largest digital art center in the world.

Breathtaking Exhibitions

Bassins des Lumières offers impressive immersive digital exhibitions, highlighting great artists from art history as well as contemporary creations. Admire the works of Vermeer, Van Gogh, Mondrian, and many others, spectacularly projected and perfectly integrated into the architecture of the basins.

Enjoy the "Destination Cosmos" exhibition in the evenings every day (except Sundays) from July 5th to August 27th, except on July 11th and 22nd, when the site will close at 7 PM.

Hours and Reservations

Open daily, Bassins des Lumières welcomes visitors from 10 AM to 7 PM, with extended hours until 9 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. To ensure your access to this exceptional experience, it is strongly advised to book your tickets online.

Until July 4, 2024: Dutch Painters & Mondrian from 10 AM to 7 PM Sunday to Thursday and from 10 AM to 9 PM on Fridays and Saturdays
