Activities in
Aix-en-Provence
A popular destination for visitors to the Provence-Alpes-Côte d' Azur region, Aix-en-Provence enjoys a sunny climate and a particularly rich historical and artistic heritage. In the small cobbled streets of the city centre, one begins to dream of the paintings of Paul Cézanne, who lovingly painted Montagne Sainte-Victoire on numerous occasions, and the novels of Emile Zola, both native of Aix. Particularly famous for its ancient and medieval vestiges, this town of Bouches-du-Rhône has many museums, the most famous of which is certainly the Granet Museum, particularly rich in Flemish paintings of the golden century and paintings by Jean-Dominique Ingres. Other places not to be missed are the Tapestry Museum or the Miles Memorial, a World War II internment camp. Ticketeaser gives art and history lovers easy access to all these places in the region.
