What to expect

The Cathedral of Saint-Etienne de Bourges, one of the most beautiful Gothic churches in France, was consecrated in 1324. At first glance, one can only admire this vast building with its harmonious proportions, its slender tower but also the refinement of its sculpted domes. It is notably on the façade of the cathedral that one finds one of the most beautiful representations of the Last Judgement of Gothic statuary. If the entrance to the church is free, a ticket is required to enter the tower and the crypt. It is in this one that one can contemplate a great number of medieval tombs and, more particularly, the resting place of the Duke of Berry. Remember to book your ticket in advance with Ticketeaser to have access to the tower and crypt of the cathedral during your visit.
