What to expect
Discover the remarkable history of medieval and modern Strasbourg with a leisurely cruise that introduces you to the attractions of this city with its myriad of canals. You’ll see the mighty Rohan Palace and the many riches of the city that’s known as the Venice of the Rhine. Gaze out from your comfortable seat in a glass-covered boat at the contrasting neighbourhoods that are the pride of this city. You’ll see the historic centre, the Grande Île or Grand Island, which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as the beautiful 17th century lock and river defence that is the Barrage Vauban and glimpse the half timbered houses of the picturesque Petite France area between the rivers. There’s also the Neustadt, German for “new town”, built between 1871 and 1918, with its many grand buildings to admire.
