What to expect
Impressive medieval fortress built into the mountainside and partially carved into the rock, the Castle of Les Baux de Provence hosts a large outdoor exhibition from May 1st to October 28th, 2018 featuring photographs of Pablo Picasso taken by Lucien Clergue. It was in the early fifties that the young photographer from Arles crossed paths with the Spanish painter, then at the peak of his fame. Between them, a friendship was forged that would last nearly twenty years, until Picasso's death in 1973. His magnificent prints pay tribute to the immense artist but also depict a more intimate and compassionate portrait. In the background, the shared interests of the two men are thus outlined: Cocteau's poetry, bullfighting spectacles, and even the world of the circus. Make the most of your visit to the exhibition "Picasso, My Friend" by reserving your entry ticket in advance on Ticketeaser.com.Opening Hours of Château des Baux-de-Provence
