Parc Asterix
What to expect
Just half an hour’s drive north of Paris, Parc Astérix is deservedly one of the most popular family attractions in all of France. Renowned for its many themed rollercoaster rides, Parc Astérix is, as the name implies, inspired by the delightful adventures of the Astérix comic books and of many mythological tales besides. Among the numerous rides are Tonnerre de Zeus - literally Thunder of Zeus - the huge swinging boat that is La Galère, boat rides for all the family as well as small carousels for the youngest in your party. Children will also delight in the comic book parades, shows and re-enactments that add up to an immersive festive atmosphere. To start your day without queues, simply book your tickets in advance at Ticketeaster.Opening Hours of Parc Astérix
Parc Astérix is not open all year round and closes during certain periods. It is closed during the winter holidays in February. This annual winter break extends from the end of the Christmas holidays until the start of the Easter holidays in spring, generally from early January to early April, or more rarely until the end of March depending on the school holiday calendar in France. The park also closes between the end of the Halloween season (after the All Saints' Day holidays) and the start of the Christmas holidays. Additionally, in September, the park is closed on weekdays (except Wednesdays), and in October, it is open only on weekends, except during school holidays.
For the year 2024, the Parc Astérix season begins on March 30, 2024, and ends on January 5, 2025. During the summer period, from the opening of the season in spring until the end of the summer holidays, the park is open every day without interruption, including public holidays. In September, the park opens on Wednesdays and weekends. In autumn, the park is open only on weekends but every day during the All Saints' Day holidays for Halloween and during the long weekend around November 11.
