What to expect

Created at the end of the eighteenth century, the Menagerie du Jardin des Plantes is one of the oldest zoos in the world. Located in the fifth arrondissement of Paris, it presents to its visitors 1200 animals including mammals, birds, invertebrates and reptiles. Its distinguished guests include kangaroos, orangutans and snow leopards. However, it is not only to admire its wild species more closely that one comes to the Menagerie since the various buildings where the animals are sheltered are remarkable for their architecture. Among these, the Herpetology Gallery, nicknamed the Reptile Palace, and the Monkey House are among the most appreciated. From 9 am to 6 pm on weekdays and from 9 am to 6:30 pm on Sundays and holidays

Last access 45 minutes before closing.

Tickets must be printed. Digital tickets are not accepted and tickets will not be refunded if applicable.
