What to expect

Dazzling both by its harmony and its immensity, the vast estate of the Palace of Versailles stands out today as a marvel of architecture and landscaping. The 100 hectares of French gardens, impeccably maintained and dotted with fountains and statues, will transport you to the not so distant time when all the nobility of France came to court with the Sun King. Inside the castle, the Hall of Mirrors or the King's private apartments bring together a unique collection of sculptures, busts and furniture with an assumed classicism. Don't forget to visit the Grand and Petit Trianon at the end of the park, as well as the famous hamlet of Queen Marie-Antoinette.
